Hide Category Dropdown from Search Bar in Header

#1
Pretty much as per the title - I want to hide the categories dropdown from the search bar that is in the main header - I can't see any options to do so.
Thanks

Hello there,

Please try this code by replacing previous code

Code:
#product_cat{
display:none;
}
#search-box input[type=text] {
    width: 93%;
}
This will work for you.

Kind Regards

I noticed that when the website is displayed on a mobile, categories keep on being visible in the below header.

Don't know why I can't change color of "Search for Product" that is set in dark grey by default.
That text, "My Favourite/Wishlist" and "Login Signup/My Account" are set in English, how can I change it?

Thanks a lot!

Hello there,

Actually those are the categories which is showing in left sidebar when we see site in desktop view. It helps your customers to easily navigate to any particular category.

And to change color of placeholder in search field use this code

Code:
::placeholder {
  color: red;
}
You can change color value according to need.

To change the text of "My Favourite/Wishlist" and "Login Signup/My Account" follow this documentation : https://support.themehunk.com/translate-your-theme-with-loco-translate/

This will help you.

Kind Regards

I see, but it duplicates the menu I already have in the below header that is made with categories, that's why I'd like to hide it, because it is confusing.

Thanks a lot, it solved the problem.
