Magazine Template Not Workong

I love this theme but the magazine style homepage will not work for me.
When I make a new page and set it with the magazine template, then set that as the home page, it does not display any post. It is just a blank screen.
I have wp 4.9.4
Please help.

This is what I am already doing. I tell you, I only get a blank page, no post. What can be wrong?
