Problem with Customizer Plugin

On updating PHP had HTTP 500 problem, the Host provider did log search and came back 'Error logs were showing a problem with the "themehunk-customizer plugin'

They changed the name advised contacting themehunk

'- We've deactivated this plugin by renaming the plugin diretcory.

Site is now appearing ok again.'

I did search for this in Themehunk forum and found following

'Sometimes third party plugin creates issue with theme. So please deactivate all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
I hope it will work.'

I deactivated plugins and reactivated - The Themehunk cannot be reactivated>

How do I reactivate the plug in - and make sure the customized settings are intact or not corrupted?

If I reinstall can I safely do so without loosing the customized settings

What other options do I have to solve this if reinstall is not the best to protect the site settings.

I have a back up copy of site - I deleted some plug ins for security I was not using some like woo commerce - could this affect the function even though never activated?

Could you please make sure you are using latest version of theme and plugin, if not then update it to latest version.

Then check your site, You won't get any error.

The version is 2.5.0 also tried to install fresh plugin customizer and got same report

(On updating PHP to 7.2) got HTP 500 so hosting solution for this related to the changing plugin directory address, to solve the problem of site down by HTTP 500 error in which they

Quote '- We've deactivated this plugin by renaming the plugin directory.' Is there a way past this

What other plugins does this need to work, I can check are working deactivated?
